lawnscaping challenge - halloween theme and/or color challenge!

well hello!
it's monday! and monday's are wonderful, because they usually mean it's a new lawnscaping challenge! yahoo!

and the challenge this week is...

that's right! you can EITHER make a halloween card, a card with the challenge colors (purple, orange and black) or a combination of both!

lawn fawn has been rocking the halloween sets for a few years, and even so - it's FUN to make halloween cards out of non-halloween sets, too! :)

for my card, i used the new spooktacular set! i just think it's SO adorable! super cutesy and FUN (love the sentiments!)!

so here it is:

i colored all of the little bats (seriously - cute, right!?) and the witches hat with copics! i popped a few of them up with foam tape for dimension along the banner!

and i LOVE that banner! i used distress inks to create it: spiced marmalade, dried maragold and rusty hinge! love the ombre of oranges, totally spooky sky!  then i used this amazing stencil and some white embossing paste to create the starry background! then before the paste dried, i added some white sparkle embossing powder to add some shine! :)

so that's my card!
are you ready to play along?
for even more inspiration (if you can stand it!), check out the lawnscaping facebook page! we're dedicated to keeping your creative juices flowing! :)

this week we're sponsored by lawn fawn! so get your card making on, and you could win a stamp set of your choice! :)
