Sweet Stamp Shop November Release!

hello hello!!

today the new, adorable, funny and FUN stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop have been released!! You can see the whole release here!

there's also a super special, limited previously retired stamps bundle up for grabs!!

It's also the start of the HUGE Thanksgiving sale that Sweet Stamp Shop is offering!!

i used the retired set: Too Hip and the new stamp set Pizza Cake to create my cards!

first up, i used Too Hip and made this cool masculine-ish card!

i colored the hippo and the accessories with copics and fussy cut them out! then i just used some strips of paper and washi to create the little ledge for him to stand on! i just LOVE that red bow tie!!

i made that cute polka dot card base by taking my white card stock and flicking india ink randomly all over! so fun! and so easy!!

next, i used Pizza Cake and the Encourage stamp set!

LOOOOOVE!! i think the sentiments go so well together!! get it...pizza cake...piece of cake... ha ha!!

the images were once again colored with copics, and then i popped them up over the column of text! so cute!

lastly, is probably my favorite card!

i used Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire to create the blended background! then i stamped the images from Pizza Cake randomly on the background and cut it on a diagonal!

i watercolored the hippo with the Hickory Smoke Distress Marker, and then combined the sentiments from both sets! so cute!!

so what do you think? are you ready to do some Sweet Stamp Shop shopping!? lol!

enjoy!

Inky Paws Challenge #27 - Kraft + Sparkle

hi hi hi!

today starts a new Inky Paws Challenge!
i'm so excited!

this time, it's all about getting your kraft and sparkle on!! i know there are a lot of you out there who will be excited!

i was totally inspired by the photo, and so i went with white, sparkly stripes on kraft!

i used a striped stencil and some embossing paste. then before it was dry, i sprinkled on some sparkly embossing powder. and then once it was dry, i heat set the powder! now i have sparkle that won't rub off! hello!!

i also heat embossed the sweet little snowflake tags from the Jolly Tags stamp and die set! they were embossed with a silver pearl onto some vellum. and then i stitched them into place like ornaments with my sewing machine!

lastly, i heat embossed the sentiment (LOTS of heat tool action today!) and then splattered some white onto the card!

so fun!
be sure to play along for your chance to win some Newton's Nook goodies!
enjoy!

I layered up my photo with various patterned papers in white and grey. Then I used a manilla tag that I stamped in a tone on tone color scheme. That awesome background from the Snowy Backdrops set is just to die for!

25 Days of Christmas Tags!

hello again!
i'm back and super excited to share another tag for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags celebration!!

today it's all about Newton's Nook Designs!

i used the brand new Tags Times Two Die (just released last week!!) and one of my favorite Christmas sets ever - Newton's Curious Christmas

i colored the image of Newton gazing at the moon with copics and popped it up over the base of the tag.

for the background of the tag, i started with grey card base and added some dark grey distress ink to the top with a blending tool. then i tinted some embossing paste with teal mist and used my favorite star stencil to add those fun stars!!

i also sprinkled a little water on top, and you can see the subtle water drops, if you look closely (and squint...! ha!).

thanks again for checking out this tag! be sure to head to Tracey's blog to see the rest of the 5th anniversary of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags celebration!

Lawnscaping Challenge #118 - In with the Old

**this is my 2nd post of the day! to see my Fawny Holiday Week Day 1 card, scroll down or click here! squeal!*

today is a brand new Lawnscaping Challenge! yay!! it's my favorite way to start a monday! actually, it's the only acceptable way to start a monday, if you ask me!

for this challenge, we are tasking you to dust off some of those older, or unused stamp sets and make a card! it couldn't be easier! ha!

for my card, i used the older, but still very much loved, Admit One stamp set and the sentiment is from the super fun 4th of July stamp set! :)

i LOVE it!! and although i really do love this set still, i sometimes reach for other, newer sets instead! the newness draws me in!! ha! and i'm pretty sure i've never actually used that merry go round image! shame! i know!! (that ferris wheel always gets me first, thought, i just LOVE it!)

ok, so i did some light, very minimal swooshes (that's a technical term) of watercolor on my card base. i used Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick Distress Inks. I swiped them across my kraft mat, and then sprayed with water. I placed my card front on top of the watercolor mess and quickly and lightly lifted my card up! look at that pretty color! i just love it!

i stamped the image on top once it was dry and then added some triangles with embossing paste and a stencil! LOVE how this came out!

this week we're sponsored by lawn fawn! so get your card making on, and you could win a stamp set of your choice! :)

My card today features my all time, hands down, favorite stamp set: Cozy Christmas!

I just LOVE that little ball of fire!!!!
I watercolored all of the images with Distress Markers, and that fireplace came out SO cool, don't you think? Love it!

I heat embossed the sentiment in black onto a semicircle of vellum and placed it on top of the mantle! Because it's just fun! The base of the card has just a little texture with some white embossing paste through a scripty stencil! I really LOVE this card!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by, and be sure to pop on over to the Lawn Fawn blog to see the other AMAZING holiday cards, and to enter for a chance to win today's prize!

Tag You're It!

**this is my 2nd post of the day! please check out Day 2 of the November Newton's Nook release by scrolling down or click here for easy access!!**

Hello!

Today I have a post up on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog again!

This is by no way, a new idea, but I thought it would be SO FUN to create these little festive tags (or ornaments!) with some adorable Sweet Stamp Shop images! You could also easily make these for a birthday, anniversary, wedding or any kind of celebration! Just change up the image!

All I did was decorate some cute little wood slices with gesso, watercolor and of course, Sweet images!

I originally saw them as tags on gifts, but they could easily be used to hang on your Christmas tree as ornaments, too!

Thanks again for stopping by! And be sure to check out my post up on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog!
