Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #348

hello!
how exciting is this: Newton's Nook Designs is sponsoring the new Cupcake Inspirations Challenge

i just LOVE these colors! they're totally 'me'! :)
i decided to use the AMAZING Message In a Bottle stamp set and coordinating die

i colored the ship image with copics, and die cut the bottle out of vellum!
on my card base, i stamped the bottle image and the ship image again then adhered, first the ship pieces and then the vellum on top! :)

i stamped the bird images on top of the vellum and then added some wood veneer sequins! i added a green color to the sequins with Distress Paints in Cracked Pistachio and Mowed Lawn! then i added a layer of glitter on top! :)

the background was created with Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass! i just smooshed the ink pads onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and then placed my card base on top! so easy, and so fun! love the watercolor look with the ship!! perfect!

i hope you have time to play along with the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge for your chance to win some Newton's Nook stamps! :)
enjoy!

Inky Paws Challenge #29 - Color Challenge

hello!

today starts the new Inky Paws Challenge over on the Newton's Nook Designs blog

how fun is this color challenge? i love it!
the photo totally reminds me of the NEW Made from Scratch stamp set that was just released last week! but you can use any stamp set as long as you use those colors! :)

for example...

i used the Vegetable Medley stamp for my card! :)
i stamped the images and then watercolored them with Distress Markers!

i fussy cut the images and then gathered them together over the vellum banner! the sentiment was heat embossed in white and i LOVE that pop of white! the background is some awesome teal woodgrain paper that i found in my stash!

i hope you play along with the Inky Paws Challenge card too! you could win some of your own Newton's Nook stamps!! :)

Sweet Stamp Shop February Release!

hi there!
i'm so excited for Sweet Stamp Shop's February release!! i just LOOOOOOVE it so much!! eeee!

i colored up a bunch of images, and then made some cards and i am telling you i want to make about 100 more! ha!

my first card uses that ADORABLE bear (and fox!) from the Adventure Awaits stamp set. this is my FAVORITE set of the release...but it's almost impossible to even have a favorite, they're all awesome! :)

i colored the images with copics and then fussy cut them out! they are popped up over that background of stars that i added with white embossing paste and a stencil! then i added some black splatters...because...I CAN'T STOP MYSELF! ha ha!

the sentiment was created with the Mixed Alpha stamp set!

my 2nd card uses the awesome Hot Glue set! this set is AWESOME! ha ha!! i can totally see scrapbooking with it!! it's on my to do list! ha!

again, i colored the hot glue gun image with copics, fussy cut and popped it up! the background of the card was created by adding a light mist in Heidi Swapp Color Shine Mustard, and then i stamped the sequin images on top!

yes...sequin stamps!!! i am SO excited for them! eeeeee!!!! i used both the outline and filled stamps for my card and then added a layer of wink of stella glitter and glossy accents!

i hope you're as excited about the release as i am!! there are 8 sets total, and they're INCREDIBLE!!
enjoy!

Birthday Wisks!

hello!!!
happy Wednesday!

today i have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
i used the adorable, and newly released Made from Scratch stamp set!

I just LOVE those little utensils!!

i stamped the utensils for my background image, and then blended some Distress Inks in Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry! once i was done blending, i added some water droplets! love that look!!

once the background was dry, i added extra details to the images with my white gel pen! it is SO easy to do, and i think it really adds a little extra bit of fun!
the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto vellum, and then i added a few sequins! :)

i really like that black and white polka dot washi on the top and bottom, i think it adds a little retro vibe! love it!
be sure to check out the Newton's Nook Designs blog for even more FUN information! :)
enjoy!

Lawnscaping Challenge #124 - Celebration

today is a brand new Lawnscaping Challenge! yay!! it's my favorite way to start a monday! actually, it's the only acceptable way to start a monday, if you ask me!

you had me at 'celebration!' LOVE it!

i just love that little bear from the Party Animal stamp set! he's SO cute!

i colored all of the images with copics, and i really tried to add lots of contrast to the coloring, so they would have some shading affect - i'm a work in progress! ha!

anyway, i popped them all up on my background - which i created with Distress Paints!

i just smooshed some color from the Blueprint, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron colors onto my craft mat and spritzed with water! then i plopped my card base on top of it all and let it air dry! so easy, so fun!! :)

and now i want to go to the party Mr. Bear is going to! ha!

this week we're sponsored by lawn fawn! so get your card making on, and you could win a stamp set of your choice! :)

Newton's Nook Sweet Treats Blog Hop!

Hello!
Today Newton's Nook is having a super fun blog hop - all about sweet treats, mmm!! Just in time to get those Valentine's ready! :)
for my project, I created some FUN and easy heart shaped treats!

and when I say that these were easy to make, I couldn't be more truthful!
I die cut the hearts with the adorable Darling Hearts Die out of lots of fun, pink-y patterned papers! then I stamped the images from the cutest Darling Duos stamp sets onto most of them! I added just a minimal amount of coloring and shading to the images, but i really wanted them to be simple and sweet!

I stuffed the hearts with a few of the tiny M&M's you can get and then adhered them all closed with roller tape, and then also liquid glue! those little M's aren't going anywhere! lol!

I just finished off each little candy with some washi flags and that's that! easy!!

happy monday, and happy February!!
It's time for a new Lawnscaping Challenge!! :)
this challenge is just PERFECT for starting off the month of loooooooooove! ha!!

see? i told you! ha ha!

for my card, i decided to go a little clean and simple...and barely messy at all!! crazy for me, i know! ha!

I colored those AMAZING mushrooms (my favorites!) from Gleeful Gardens and the cute cute cute little bird from Let's Play with Copics and then fussy cut them out!

for the background, i die cut a heart on a slight tilt and then used that piece of cardstock as a mask! i used my blending tool and Shabby Shutters and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks to create the multi-green heart! then i splattered some water on top because...i'm still me! ha!!

to finish it, i used my current favorite washi to 'attach' it to the card! LOVE how this came out!

so that's my projectare you ready to play along?
this week we're sponsored by a brand new sponser for the Lawnscaping Challenge - Ellen Hutson! so get your card making on, and you could win a $25 gift certificate! hello!! :)
