yahooo! it's time for a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

this is perhaps the EASIEST, most fun challenge of all!!!

the only problem...how do you choose a favorite?!! lol!!
I had so much fun creating my card for this challenge!! :) I was inspired by Kristina Werner's coloring of her Yeti and also the movie Home Alone! ha!

eek! i just love it!!!
of course that yeti image (and the trees) are from the Yeti Set Go stamp set! LOVE him, soooo much!!!
I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out!

the background was created by diecutting a partial circle, and then using Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch and blending the color on it !
I also used a stencil with thin lines and some white embossing paste to add a little texture to the back!
part of the sentiment is from Toboggan Together, and I created my own custom sentiment with Harold's ABC's - perhaps my ALL TIME MOST USED FAVORITE stamp set ever! ha!

oh, i really can't WAIT for you to play along! you could win a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn!!!!

enjoy!

I've been on that team as DT Coordinator for a LONG time (I was an ORIGINAL DT member when they started!! Love you Jen!)!
I used the ADORABLE Naughty or Mice stamp set to create my card!

squuuuuueeeeeak! love it!
that little mouse with the reindeer antlers...I can't even! ha! I colored him up with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut him out with the coordinating dies

to create the trees, I die cut out 4 of the tree branch shape from white cardstock using the Festive Forest Coordinating Dies!! then on another piece of white cardstock, I did some watercoloring with Distress Oxide Inks in Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover! once it was all dry, I die cut out more of the tree branch shapes, and used part of the sheet to back what had already been die cut out of the white cardstock! instant magic forest!

to make this card even more fun, I added some white glitter stickles on some of the tree branches and did some small white polka dots in the sky with a stencil and white embossing paste!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #18 - Emboss Resist

yahooo! it's time for a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

eeek! love this one, guys!

right? heat embossing is like crafty magic! so i'm SO in!
I used two sets to create this card!

the snowy/starry background is from the Snowy Backdrops stamp set! I heat embossed the background onto a piece of white cardstock, then did some ink blending with Distress Inks to create the sky! (Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers)
once it was all dry, i die cut out a circle shape!

then I stamped and colored the houses from Winter Village and then fussy cut them out! I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Stamps to color them in.
I finished the card by curving part of the phrase around the circle, and the I heat embossed the rest of the sentiment in white onto a strip of black cardstock.

oh, i really can't WAIT for you to play along! you could win a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn!!!!enjoy!

let it snow - trees!

hello!
happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating! I know I'm looking forward to being in a food coma later in the day!

today I have this card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
I created this card, keeping the current challenge in mind - color inspiration!

I just love those sweet, festive colors!
I used the Let it Snow stamp set to create this card, along with Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks! :)

I started by stenciling some Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks with a striped stencil. then I did some watercoloring on top of the stencil with the same colors!

once it was all dry, I stamped the trees with Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide inks right on top of everything! sooo fun!! I used the 'rock and roll' technique to add the different 'shades' to the tree images.

lastly, I sprinkled white acrylic paint over everything and added a few sequin stars. oh yes, I also swiped my Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide Ink onto a strip of white cardstock, then heat embossed the sentiment and popped it up!

hope that inspired you! be sure to check it out on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog, and to get crafty with this current challenge! :)
enjoy!

LLAMA!!!
I loooooooooove this guy!!
I colored him with, you guessed it! Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then used the coordinating dies to die cut him out!

for the sky, I used some Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink and mixed it with white embossing paste! then I smooshed that through the Starfield Stencil (LOVE THAT!)! once it was dry, I did some Distress Oxide Ink blending with Peacock Feathers and Black Soot! so much fun!
I used the Land Border Dies to create the hills! I also added to color to those with Distress Oxide Inks in Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron!

my second card is super festive for the holiday season!

I used Distress Inks in Worn Lipstock and Abandoned Coral to add color to the edges of the white panel. then I did some 2nd and 3rd generation stamping in Worn Lipstick with those cute peppermint candy images! so fun!

I popped up the newton image onto a vellum tag that I die cut with the Fancy Edges Tag Die! but I didn't stop there, I also added some white embossing paste through the Snowfall Stencil onto the vellum tag! SO MUCH FUN and so much texture!

Newton's Nook Designs November Release - Winter Woofs Stamp Set + coordinating Die

hello again!
welcome to day 2 of Newton's Nook Designs November release!

this month's release is all about winter!! It's so fun!!
and oh my gosh you guys...this release is PACKED!! today we are sharing projects created with Winter Woofs Stamp Set + coordinating Die!!
you can totally create a project life type spread, gift tags and, of course, cards! all of the new sets will be available for purchase on November 24th, right here!

I had SO MUCH fun making my cards!
my first card is clean and simple!

I colored in the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then die cut it out! I added some accents with my white gel pen, and place it in the middle of the card!

under the card front, I stamped the snowflakes in the set randomly! I love the pop of black it adds to the sides! how sweet is this?

my second card is a little brighter.

but only just a little!
again, I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, but I kept the color palette simple with some pinks to accent the yellow background! I used Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed to blend some color onto the background!

then I added the light grey snowflakes around the card to match the grey banner, that I created with the Frames and Flags die!

Would you like to win the “Winter Woofs” Stamp Set?
Each of these stamp sets will be given away to ONE lucky winner
